***Contest update. Thanks to everyone for your suggestions about what to do on PEI! Our winners (we couldn’t decide so we picked TWO) are Mitchell and Frances. Your prizes will be in the mail shortly.

Toque & Canoe is in Prince Edward Island! So far, we’ve been charmed by a potato farmer, eaten raw oysters from the salty sea and hung out with the island’s rock star chef Michael Smith.

What else should we – or anyone else for that matter – do and see during our time on Canada’s “Gentle Island?”

Best suggestion wins one of our signature Toque & Canoe leather bracelets. We’ll leave our question up until the end of the month, midnight. Go!

Must go Tuna Fishing with Tightline Tours (Captain Greg or Spencer). Or sail the Montague River, catching lots of mackerel, with Captain Spencer on the Suncatcher.

I may have missed the deadline but I’m still proud to eschew PEI’s wonders! Go for a hike at Greenwich in PEI National Park; wander along Cavendish beach for miles to the west (you may even see a bunch of shorebirds!); take photos at the picturesque Covehead lighthouse; follow the footsteps of the Fathers of Confederation at Province House National Historic Site; visit Green Gables Hertiage Place and have a refreshing raspberry cordial; visit Port-la-Joye–For Amherst NHS for a picnic, a walk and some of the most incredible views of the Charlottetown skyline…and those are just a few of the great Parks Canada experiences! Don’t forget the amazing food, friendly people, intriguing culture and pastoral landscapes! Have a great visit!!
